The starter package has everything you need to get your parish website online quickly.
We build websites using WordPress as the main CMS (content management system) due to its ease of use and pure flexibility. The basic package will include all the pages you need to meet your ICO requirements. Additional pages can be easily added by the site admin, however no website training is given in this basic package. The website includes content editor, media manager (add video, image), user manager, attachment options, contact form, interactive map, menu editor and more.
The Basic Package comes with a predefined design that we know works for many Parish Councils. The design features all of the standard website elements such as a menu, search bar, contact form, all required pages, footer and easy options for image display.
The content management system is WordPress. WordPress is a super easy to use system that allows admin users ('editors' can be created too) to create, edit and upload information to their website. We recommend that users looking at the Basic Package already have WordPress experience as training is not included.
We have created a solution that allows documents to be uploaded from your computer with no need to log in to the website. Google Drive or DropBox are online storage facilities which we can tie in with the website. Both these services create folders on your computer that you can add agendas, minutes and other documents into which in turn sync straight through with the website. It's a super easy way of getting your information online. Setup is included in this package.
We can create an email account for the Clerk (clerk@parish-pc.gov.uk) if required (depending on the domain name used - see the domain section under services ). Setup is included in this package and details provided.

The Complete and Extended Service packages come with a choice of 5 fantastic website designs for your Parish Council website. We're sure you'll be happy with any one of them, but the choice is yours! Please contact us if you would like to see examples.

Do you provide domain names in your packages?
We urge any customer to purchase their own domain names to speed up the process, but it is possible to purchase a domain on your behalf and invoice separately for the domain itself and time spent to secure your domain of choice. Please refer to our domains page here for more information regarding domains and their costs.
What if I don't like the design provided?
The Basic Package comes with a predefined design that is attractive, easy to navigate and mobile friendly. The Complete and Extended Service packages offer a choice of 5 design options. Bespoke design can be included at an additional cost, please contact us for more details.
What is hosting and do you offer it?
Hosting in its basic definition is 'renting storage space for a website on a computer that is plugged into the Internet'. Your website is made up of files, folders, media etc which all need to be stored on a storage device that is connected to the Internet. We include 12 months website hosting in the Complete and Extended Service packages. Please refer to our hosting page for more hosting and price info.
I want the basic package but also want training, can I add this separately?Â
Of course! We have a number of additional services that are charged out by the hour at a very competitive hourly rate. This includes, training, support, website updates, design services and more. We are always honest with our time and will never charge for longer than we quote.
Why do you have three different packages?
Over the years we have found that a one-fit solution really doesn't suit everybody looking for a website. Our basic package is enough for most people, however there are more options available to those who require them with the other packages. Please read the package details for more information.
Do you offer website support or maintenance?
Yes! We're here whenever you need us. We can guide you through using your site through remote access (accessing your computer so we can both see the same screen) to support and solve any issues you might be facing. Although we urge you to update the site yourself, we know this isn't always something our clients are comfortable doing. Our maintenance options are modestly charged monthly and can include updating pages, adding news items and so on. Read more on our maintenance packages here.
Can you take care of everything for me?
Of course! For a complete solution we have created our 'Extended Service' package, which absolutely covers every aspect of getting your website online (content is still required from you, the client though!). We can purchase a domain name, hosting, build the site and update it for you (fair usage applies - see Extended Service package details).
How long does it take to make a website?
We can build a site under the Basic Package in a day if required! We would of course need all content from you, the client before hand. The other packages can take a similar amount of time depending on the number of pages required. Many times the hold up comes from not having all of the content needed.
